Our beautiful Beth's life ended too soon. Sadly, Beth, 49, died on Monday June 8, 2026, at her residence in Evans, Georgia. Beth was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 12, the feast day of our Lady of Guadalupe in 1976. Coincidentally, Beth was born the year of America's bicentennial (1976) and died the year of its Semi quincentennial (2026). Beth is the precious, first-born daughter of Paul and Elaine (Brown) Tecpanecatl. Beth is the beloved big sister to her brother, Lou (Agatha), and sisters, Maria (Scott), and Joyce. When the family moved to Toledo, Beth attended Longfellow Elementary, Springfield Junior High, and Springfield High School. Throughout school, Beth made many friends and was active in sports and other extracurricular activities. Beth's part-time work in retail and interest in fashion design led her to enroll at Bowling Green State University (BGSU) in the Fashion Merchandising Program. Beth was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority at BGSU. During her senior year, she applied and was accepted to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in Manhattan, NY. This enabled Beth to receive both an associate's degree from FIT and a bachelor's degree from BGSU. Her excellence, contacts, and internships through FIT enabled Beth to work for ten years at various fashion showrooms in New York representing Nomination and Fossil. Beth married Chris Poznanski from Toledo. Chris's work moved her to Evans, Georga. Beth has two stepdaughters, Kathryn (Katy) and Rebecca (Becca) Poznanski and also a step- nephew, Andrew Plazza. Beth was extremely fond of her nephews, Diego and Adrian Tecpanecatl, and Quinn Templin and her niece, Elle Templin. Beth was a terrific fun aunt showering them with gifts and prizes for their birthdays and holidays. They will greatly miss her. Beth had a very special relationship with her maternal grandparents, Tom and Rosemary Brown and paternal grandparents, Felipe and Eloina Tecpanecatl. Beth is loved by her Godparents (Donna Brown Benton and Tom Brown), and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as her friends, and family- friends throughout the United States and in Cholula, Mexico. BETH'S LIGHT WILL ETERNALLY SHINE ON. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday July 24, 2026, at St. Joan of Arc Church at 5856 Heatherdowns Boulevard, Toledo, Ohio 43614 at 11:00 AM. There will be an hour of visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, prior to the Mass. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed at https://www.youtube.com/c/StJoanofArcCatholicParish In lieu of flowers, and to assist other fashion design students following in Beth's footsteps, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Heppe Scholarship Fund at the BGSU Apparel Merchandising and Product Development Program.
