Valeria Ernestine Lee

Valeria E. Lee, 90, of Toledo, Ohio, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at the Lakes of Monclova Care Center. Valeria was born on July 15, 1925, to Florence (Wielinski) and John Stasiak. She married Dwight Lee on May 15, 1949; he preceded her in death on February 28, 1994. She was a 1943 graduate of Woodward High School and attended the Mercy School of Nursing, graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1946. Valeria was employed as a registered nurse at Flower Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of the National Cadet Nurses Corp., and also volunteered for the American Red Cross Blood Bank for more than 30 years. She participated in the National Nurses’ Health Study for several decades. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church for 29 years where she was a faithful participant in the church’s Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration since it was initiated in the 1980s. Valeria was a member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church since 1988, where she was a funeral choir member and participated in the senior social club. Val was a selfless person, who lived for others, especially her beloved children ¬- Cindy, Brad, John, Randy, Robert and Matthew. She loved them with all of her heart and they loved her back. Valeria loved to play cards and was a member of several card clubs over the years. Valeria was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sons Robert and John Lee; grandson Alex Lee; daughter-in-law Julie Lee; and son-in-law Richard Vinarsky. She is survived by her children Cynthia (Jerry Hixenbaugh) Vinarsky, Bradley Lee, Randolph (Terri) Lee, Matthew (Suzanne) Lee; 12 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren; sisters Nancy Stearns and Rosie (Bill) Snyder Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Friday, October 30 from 2-8p.m. where a Scripture Service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will begin in the mortuary at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 31. Committal Services will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution can be made to the American Red Cross.
