Teresa Nye

Teresa A. Nye, age 57 of Toledo, passed away on November 7, 2023. Teresa was born to William and Helen (Malone) Miller on November 22, 1965 in Ironton, OH. She was a graduate of Rogers High School and received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Counseling from the University of Toledo. She married the love of her life, Tom Nye on July 14, 1995 and together they raised their daughter, Bailey. Teresa served her country proudly in the U.S. Air Force - 180th Fighter Wing. In 2002 she received the Outstanding Senior NCO of the year award. She served her country for just over 20 years until her retirement as a Master Sergeant, in 2005. She had decided to follow her passion of helping people look and feel beautiful as a hairstylist, and her numerous clients will vouch for her success in accomplishing that goal. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, Tom; daughter, Bailey; grandson, Jesse; bonus-daughter, Ashley; sisters, Billie (Carl) Kwiatkowski and Cathy Miller; nieces and nephews, David Flynn, Heather Radosti, Kyle Kwiatkowski, Anthony Radosti and Zander, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and friends. And of course, her and Tom's spunky, loving and faithful dog, Maggie May. Teresa had many passions - most remember her love of helping others (she was an excellent listener), spending time in the sun and pool, as well as sharing time with family and friends. She enjoyed her Hot Pilates classes as well as traveling, and was always planning the next getaway. She unselfishly put others first. Being Tom's wife and Bailey's Mama were her greatest honors, and when her grandson Jesse was born, her already beautiful and contagious smile grew even bigger and brighter. She loved being a "Nana" and spending time with her little man. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Wednesday, November 15th from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Shelly Blanco, Annie Bratton and Janina Knott for their friendship and support, especially during the past few weeks.
