Marilyn Louise Voyles

Marilyn Louise (McQuade) Voyles, age 92, our beloved mother and grandmother, answered our Lord's call on July 21, 2023 at Waterford Commons in Perrysburg, OH, surrounded by her family. Marilyn was born on June 23, 1931, in Toledo, OH, to Daniel and Rosina McQuade. She married Lawrence (Larry) Voyles in 1956. She graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1952 and received her bachelor's degree in nursing from University of Toledo. She was employed as a registered nurse at Flower Hospital and St. Vincent's Hospital, and was the school nurse of Blessed Sacrament for 17 years. In their retirement years, Marilyn and Larry enjoyed their family and many friends at their cottage at Manapogo Park Campground in Indiana, as well as their home in Englewood, Florida, from which they returned to the Toledo area in 2005. Marilyn was a devoted Notre Dame football fan, and loved to play golf with her husband and their many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents along with her sisters Rose Marie, Rita, Jeanne, and Donna, and her brothers Richard, Donald, and Bernard. She is survived her seven devoted children: Robb (Lori), Patrick (Robbyn), Thomas (Lisa), Timothy (Colleen), Michelle (Terry) Crawford, Cathleen (Dan) Baden and Melissa (Barry) Cullum as well as her sister-in-law Shirley. Marilyn loved her 14 grandchildren dearly: Lindsay, Daniel, John, Erin, Joseph, Christian, Kyle, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Ezra, Miranda, Meghan, Hailey, and Alexis, as well as her six great-grandchildren. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Sunday, July 23 from 1:00- 6:00 p.m. where a Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 24, 11:00 a.m. at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 4227 Bellevue Rd., with a visitation to begin at 10:00 a.m. at church. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Kind Hearts Hospice. The family would like to offer their sincere thanks and appreciation to the entire staff of Waterford Commons.
