Clara Marie Reynolds

Clara Marie Reynolds February 12, 1924 - April 15, 2008 Clara M. Reynolds age 84 of Toledo, passed away Tuesday April 15, 2008. Clara Marie was born February 12, 1924 to Henry and Anna Rosebrock in Ridgeville Corners, OH. She moved to Toledo as a young woman where she met and married Thomas Reynolds on September 14, 1946. She married into an Italian family where she learned to cook many Italian dishes. She worked in various restaurants and supper clubs in Toledo and later worked for Certified Alarm and retired as a secretary from Deluxe Vending. She loved to bake and can and her recipes were passed down to her daughters, especially her potato pizza recipe. She also loved to sew and do crafts with her grand-daughters. Clara always looked on the brighter side of life and was always encouraging to her children and grand-children of whom she was very proud. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom in 1998 and sisters Frieda and Esther. She is survived by her daughters Kathye (Doug) Zaper, Nancy (Larry) Dey, Mary Clapp of Glasgow, KY and son Thomas L. Reynolds; seven grandchildren, Doug (Beth) Zaper Jr., Jennifer (Dale) Irelan, Angie (Jason) Tate, Larry Dey, Rick (Laura) Clapp, Rob (Tonia) Clapp, and Kimberly McAllister; twenty great-grandchildren Jacquelyn, Michael, Jessica, Julia, Jacob and Katie, John and Chiara, Cody and Lauren, Abby and Sammy, Tyler and Jacob, Emily, Matthew and Caleb, Jordan, Brooklyn and Zachary; brothers Alvin (Evelyn) Rosebrock, Fritz (Pauline) Rosebrock, Carl (Charlotte) Rosebrock , and Henry (Mary) Rosebrock; and sisters Laura Bitzinger and Henrietta Libey as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Coyle Funeral Home 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Friday from 2-8pm where a Rosary will be recited at 7pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday beginning at 9:30am in the mortuary, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church at 10am. Entombment Restlawn Cemetery. We love and honor you mother. Not just for giving us life but for making our lives a gift.
