Anita Guitteau Leahey

Anita Guitteau Leahey, passed away in her South Toledo home Sunday afternoon, June 27, 2010 after a long illness. Anita was born April 25, 1916, to Walter and Anne (Senn) Reinhart who preceded her in death as did her brother, Donald J. Reinhart and husbands, Joseph T. Guitteau and James E. Leahey. Anita graduated from Notre Dame Academy, and retired from Owens Illinois where she was a member of their Golden Emblem Club. She was a long time member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church She is survived by her son, Thomas J. (Lynn) Guitteau and daughter, Linda (Richard) Judson, stepdaughters, Mary Jo (John) Tillman, Patricia (Don) Brenkman, Margaret (William) Bacon and Kathleen (David) Motsinger along with 23 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren!! The family would like to express their gratitude to all the health care professionals who lovingly cared for our mother over the last four years. The list is long but needs to be enunciated: Dr. Mark Bruss and all of the Waterville Family Physicians; the Nurses and Staff of St. Luke’s Hospital; Dr. James Bingle, Sharon Michalak, Nurse Physician, and their entire Staff of NWOCC; the Doctors and Nurses at the Dialysis Partners of Northwest Ohio; the Staff at Spring Meadows Extended Care, especially Tina, Vickie, McCall and Jane; The Lucas County Life Squad EMTs and the Toledo Fire Department for their care on numerous visits and transports. Last, but certainly not least, the wonderful caring Angels from Hospice of Northwest Ohio; Cindy, Jessica, Mary, Barb and Pat. Thank you for gentle and loving care in Mom’s last days. Friends may call at the Coyle Funeral Home 1770 So. Reynolds Road, Thurs. 2-8 p.m. where a Scripture Service will be recited at 7 p.m. On Friday, July 2, 2010, the family will receive friends at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. Immediately following the mass, a luncheon will be served at The Holy Family Center. Burial will follow the dinner at Calvary Cemetery at 1 p.m. Memorials may take the form of a contribution to St. Patrick’s Building Fund, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Notre Dame Academy, St. Francis DeSales High School or the Donor’s favorite charity.
