Una S. Anderson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Una S. Anderson, 93, of Holland, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home on July 5th, 2022. She was born in Ballaghaderreen, County Roscommon, Ireland, in November 1928 to Tomas Patrick and Maude Shannon. Una had a very big family; 7 siblings, 11 children, 24 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and many dear friends! She enjoyed a beautiful and fulfilling life, and left a legacy of love and fond memories for family to cherish. Una traveled to America on the S.S. Queen Mary when she was only 18 years old. She traveled from New York to Los Angeles, and finally to Toledo. She lived a bold life of generosity, tenacity, and charm. Her careers were as numerous as her talents. She was a dressmaker, a model for Lord and Taylor's, an X-Ray Technician, tennis instructor, and a beloved mother. Una was predeceased by her first husband of 10 years, Ronald T. Stiebler, and her second husband of 38 years, Donald E. Anderson. Anyone who had the honor of meeting Una loved her "mieces to pieces". For those who feel comfortable and healthy, visitation will be 9:30am -10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Church: 5856 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to "Adaptive Sports Connection."
