Thomas Lee Duquette

Thomas Lee Duquette 74, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, June 7th 2023 at Ebeid Hospice. He was born on October 9th 1948 to Wilfred and Louise Duquette in Toledo, Ohio. He was a graduate of Penta Career Center in June of 1967. Tom was employed in a wide variety of roles within the automotive industry. He was also a proud lifetime member of Riverview Yacht Club. Tom was also a proud Marine. "SEMPER FI" At a young age, Tommy learned the trade of auto body from his father. He was a body shop manager at Grogan Chrysler Plymouth for 20 years. He then went to Ed Schmidt Southwyck. He made the move with them to Perrysburg. After leaving there he went on to become an independent appraiser, traveling to numerous states. He proudly served in the Marines from 1967 to 1972. He certainly was the kind of man that was dedicated in all he did. Tommy and Patti married on September 6, 1969. From there it took on a life of its own. Becoming a father. A member of River View Yacht Club in 1980. With joining Riverview, Tommy and Patti enjoyed many things that this club had to offer. Later on becoming an officer in multiple roles. Boating trips to many locations or just hanging out for the weekend. They both met many wonderful people that became lifelong friends. They also became fond of camping to different locations, from an island to a campground. They built this beautiful life together. All of which had her laughing at every turn. Tommy was a devoted and loving (teasing) father and husband. He had many names, one that most knew as Duker Dog. He was many things to many people. Most of which a treasured jewel. Left to cherish Tommy's memories is his wife Patti, his daughter Andrea; his brother Willie (Sheri); his sister in law Deed; his granddaughters Heather (Zach), Lyndsey (Bret), and Miranda. His great grandchildren Alexus, Adde, Jayce, Aria, Hunter, Rylyne, and Zachery Jr. His nieces and nephews Lance (Laura), Bryon (Amy), Kristi, Michelle, Mo (Teresa), Selena (Jared), Kali (Gabe), and Lee. Many great nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Tommy Lee; his in laws, his sisters Cathy and Donna. His sister in laws Linda and Brenda and nephew Christopher. Last but not least his puppy Koda. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Monday, June 19, from 2:00- 8:00 p.m. with a Riverview Yacht Club service at 7:00. The funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20 at Coyle, with Military Honors. Burial will be at Springfield Township Cemetery. .Requested donations made to Ebeid Hospice and The Cherry Street Mission.
