Sue Straub
March 24, 1943 - December 4, 2021
Sue Straub, lifelong Toledoan, loyal graduate of Central Catholic High School, daughter of the late Edward L. and Mary Claire Straub, died on Saturday, December 4, 2021 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She was 78. Supported to the end by her many friends from Central Catholic, St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Parish, she was given loving care to the end by Luther Home of Mercy professionals, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, and by developmental disabilities programs. She is survived by her brother, John C. Straub, and beloved sister-in-law, Harriet F. Adams, of Washington, D.C., and many other kin. She was predeceased by her siblings, Michael, Jean and Bill Straub. Happiest in her work as an aide at Luther Home for Mercy facilities, she will always be remembered for her cheery disposition, outgoing personality, and large group of friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 11, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. followed by a celebration of Mass at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns, at 11:00 a.m. with social distancing and pandemic precautions required. Inurnment afterwards in Cavalry Cemetery. The family suggests in lieu of flowers any remembrances be given in Sue's name to Luther Home of Mercy, Central Catholic, or St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Parish.
