Sally E. Hoffmann

August 23, 1932 - June 5, 2018

Sally E. Hoffmann, 85, of south Toledo, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born to Roger and Gertrude (Poland) Weinbrecht on August 23, 1932 in Springfield, Ohio. Sally worked as a secretary and an account manager for several years in the trucking industry. She was always there to help others, especially with her Sunday brunches, making sure family was always together. She always put others before herself. Sally enjoyed sewing, reading religious books, computer work and cross stich. She also volunteered at the Area Office on Aging, for the D.A.R.E. program and at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, which she was a dedicated member. She loved spending time with family and friends, and was loved by many. Sally has touched so many lives in her lifetime; she will forever hold a place in our hearts. Sally is survived by her children, Judy (Steve) Doerfler, Christopher Hoffmann, Ginny (Jim) Duffee, Angela (Tom) Penn; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, David (Rose) Weinbrecht, Ann McCroskery, Harold (Jan) Weinbrecht, Pat Cope, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, husband Godfrey “Fritz” of 35 years, son, John Ritter and brother, Roger Weinbrecht. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Sunday, June 10 from 2-7 p.m. The Funeral will be held in the mortuary on Monday, June 11 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorials may take the form of contributions to Hospice of NW Ohio or a charity of the donor’s choice.
