Russell Edward Eldridge

Russell E. Eldridge, 79, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2018 at Heartland in Perrysburg. Russ was born in Toledo on February 23, 1938 to Sam and Evelyn (Furey) Eldridge. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After his service, Russ worked for Ironworkers Union Local 55 on the Enrico Fermi Nuclear Generating Station in Monroe, MI. In his later years, he loved buying and selling cars. He worked for Maumee Motors and Honda East, and enjoyed going to the car auctions to find the best deals for his friends. Russ was a member of the American Legion and VFW Post 11115. Russ is survived by his daughters Patricia (Ken) Warner and Cynthia Eldridge; grandchildren Taylor and Kenny Warner; longtime companion and friend Renee Glessner and her children Jerry, Lynn and Rick Glessner; brother Richard Eldridge, sister Patricia Eldridge and brother in law Jack Harder; several nieces and nephews, and dear friend Randy (Sheryl) Fork. Russ was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joan Harder. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Thursday, January 25 from 9-11 a.m., with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at West Union Cemetery in Gibsonburg, Ohio.
