Roger Holub

Roger Tyson Holub, age 73 of Toledo, OH passed away on Saturday, January 27th. He was born to Frank Sr. and Martha (Rathke) Holub on March 16, 1944. He was a proud graduate of Trinty Lutheran and Macomber High School (1962). He was a Journeyman Welder and worked at Art Iron, City Machine Tool and Die, and General Motors where he retired after 25 years in 2007. Roger was a Mason and belonged to Robinson Locke Lodge No. 659 for almost 50 years. “Rog” loved fishing and hunting, and spent countless hours on local rivers, ponds, and especially “Jerry’s Pond” with family and friends. He was a member of Merickel-Farley Trout Club where he taught his grandchildren how to fish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Lykowski, and his four-legged best friend, Rocket. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Joyce; sons, Jeff (Wendy), Troy (Sandy); and also his brother Frank; grandchildren, Gabrielle (Gaby), Jacob, Chase, and Emma. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gary Bass and Jennifer Schramm. According to Roger’s wishes, all services will be private.
