Roger Eugene Ankney

February 23, 1948 - December 5, 2021

Roger E. Ankney, age 73 of Toledo passed away peacefully on December 5, 2021. He was born to Merle and Beth Lou (Curtis) Ankney on February 23, 1948. Roger proudly served his country in U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He spent his career working as a Truck Driver for SARO Truck Dispatch which he owned with his wife, Sandy. He enjoyed playing cards, camping, traveling out west and trips to Las Vegas. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandy and his brother, Jessie. He is survived by his children, Dan, Henry, Greg and Eric Ankney, Mac (Kim), Jeff and Jutta McCoy; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Curt, Larry and Doug Ankney; sister, Linda Mercer and sister-in-law, Ladina Ankney. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Tuesday, December 14th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 15th, in the Funeral Home, at 10:00 a.m. Interment Roth Cemetery.
