Nancy Scharlow, 78 years of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Thursday May 10, 2018 in the Hospice of Northwest Ohio inpatient Center after a courageous two year battle with colon cancer. Nancy was born on March 8, 1940 to Hugh and Betty (Hinman) Ryle in Toledo, Ohio. She was a member of the Maumee Eagles, VFW, and Maumee Senior Center. Nancy was a competitive canasta, backgammon, and euchre player. In 2009, Nancy won a Gold Medal for Senior Olympics 50+ playing backgammon. She loved to socialize at Nick’s Cafe, Cracker Barrel, McDonald's, Wendy's, and Dino’s (before they kicked her out...twice!). She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Patrick Ryle; she is survived by her loving children James, Robbin (Randy) Wilcox, Michael (Sandy), Kenneth, Steven (Laura), and Darlene (Mark) Jaeger; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sisters Linda Durbin and Vickie Sprague. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S Reynolds Rd, on Monday May 14th from 2-8 pm where a Scripture Service will be held at 6:30 pm. Rev. Patrick Rohen, Captain, U.S.A. (Retired) will officiate the services. Funeral services will be held in the mortuary on Tuesday May 15th at 11:00 am. Interment services will follow in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
