    Kathryn A Blankmeyer

    March 14, 1943 - January 25, 2022

Kathryn Ingram Blankmeyer, 78, of Perrysburg, OH, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at St. Clare Commons where she had been in hospice care. Kathy was born on March 14, 1943 in Erie, PA to Arthur M. Ingram and Elizabeth (Betty) Baumann Ingram who both preceded her in death. She was a 1961 graduate of Academy High School in Erie and went on to have a long, successful career in the retail credit industry both in Erie and later in Toledo, OH where she moved with her family in 1968. On September 7, 1974, Kathy married Tony (Norman) Blankmeyer of Columbus Grove, OH at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Toledo and they lived in their home overlooking the Maumee River in Waterville, OH for over 40 years. It was there that they enjoyed hosting family barbecues every summer. Their mutual love of travel took them on many adventures including cruises, and trips to Russia, France, Italy and Puerto Rico, along with frequent vacations in Florida. Kathy was of deep faith and especially enjoyed visiting the Vatican in Rome. After retiring, Kathy volunteered her time with charitable organizations, along with her husband who predeceased her in 2019. She was always willing to give a lending hand and was helpful in caring for her elderly parents before their deaths. She was a loving daughter, wife, sister, cousin, aunt and godmother. She was especially fond of her many nieces and nephews. Surviving Kathy are her brother, Arthur (Rebecca) Ingram, Toledo; her sisters, Nancy Ingram, Brockport, NY; Marilyn Horvath, Erie, PA; Betsey Capotosto, Lima, OH; and Susan (Jerry) Momenee, Maumee, OH. In addition, she is survived by nieces Katie Crosby (Tony Wood), Middleton, MA; Sarah Milliman (CT Oakes), Brockport, NY; Lauren (Joshua) Bailey, Toledo, OH; Beth Ingram and Kim (Kaleb) Tobien, Toledo, OH and Jeanine (Matt) Cramblett of Columbus, OH. Also surviving are nephews Andrew (Rachael) Horvath, Woodstock, MD; Nicholas (Abby) Capotosto, Hilliard, OH, Joseph (Emily) Capotosto, Gomer, OH; Jacob (Skyler) Capotosto, Ann Arbor, MI; Anthony Capotosto, Lima, OH and Matthew (Mikayla) Momenee of Maumee, OH along with several great nieces and nephews. The family would like to express thanks to St. Clare Commons in Perrysburg, OH for the extraordinary care given to Kathy and to Hospice of Northwest Ohio and SouthernCare Toledo for lovingly caring for Kathy in the final weeks of her illness. Those who would like to make a donation in her name are asked to consider St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church, SouthernCare Toledo and Hospice of Northwest Ohio, all of Toledo. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Monday, January 31 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
