James L Stanley Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

James L. Stanley, age 86 of Holland, OH, passed away on May 22, 2022, in his home while surrounded by his family. He was born to Harry and Carrie Stanley on December 9, 1935. He was a graduate of Waite High School and received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Toledo. Jim served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force during the time when the Berlin Wall was built. Jim spent his career working for Owens Illinois, until the time of his retirement, after 35 years of service. Jim was a long time member at Blessed Sacrament and later Little Flower Catholic Church. He also worked at St. Catherine's Church and volunteered his time at the Helping Hands of St. Louis. Jim loved the water and enjoyed spending time at their cottage in the Irish Hills. Jim was also an avid Notre Dame Football and University of Toledo Basketball fan. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Becky. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruby; sons, Steven (Stephanie) and Paul (Pattie); daughter-in-law, Jane (John) Rude; grandchildren, Stephanie, Lindsay and Brad and 4 great-grandchildren. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Thursday, May 26th from 3:00-7:00 p.m. where a Scripture Service will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 27th beginning at 11:15 a.m., in the mortuary, followed by a Funeral Mass at Little Flower Catholic Church at 12:00 p.m. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Ohio Living Hospice for their compassionate care.
