March 10, 1946 - January 9, 2022
James Lee Flenner was reunited with his loved ones in heaven on January 9th, 2022. He was born March 10th, 1946 to Mary Frances Dismuke. James was a lifelong fan of Michigan football and the Minnesota Vikings. He also loved penguins, the three stooges and was known for telling jokes. James retired from Libbey Owens Ford in 1995 after a long career in glass making. He most recently delivered medication for Prescription Supply where he was loved by all of the customers on his route. James was a very patient, caring and hardworking husband and father. He always put the needs of his family and friends above his own. James was preceded in death by his mother Mary; father John Roth; best friend/cousin John Stevenson; mother in law Betty Schmidt and Edward and Elizabeth McGlawn (with whom he shared a special bond). He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Carol and Daughters Amy (Don) Loucks and Melissa (Jimmy) Urban. Also left to cherish their "papa" are grandchildren Anthony, Alexis, Kyle and Anna. He will be greatly missed by brothers Mike (Nancy) Roth, Tim (Brandy) Roth, and sister Patti (Justin) Rhodes. Many cousins, nieces and nephews will hold dear their memories and good times. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses of St. Vincent Hospital Covid ICU ward for their exceptional care over the last 3 weeks. Visitation will be Thursday, January 13th from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Road, Toledo, Ohio 43614. The Funeral Service will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be private. The family requests that masks be worn during the visitation and service.
