William "Bill" R. Aubry

William R. “Bill” Aubry passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on March 18, 2015 in Celebration, Florida. He was born May 11, 1925 in Toledo to Rudolph and Ruth Marie (Hannan) Aubry. Bill graduated in 1943 from Central Catholic High School and joined the U. S. Navy. He was a Seabee on Bougainville in the South Pacific during World War II. He began his career with Buckeye Cable as a salesman in 1966, and retired as an executive, with over 25 years of service. He was active in many cable television industry groups, and former president of the Michigan Cable TV Association. Both in his personal and professional life, Bill made a friend everywhere he went. Bill was a devoted Catholic, strong in his faith, and attended mass daily, often praying for all his friends and family when asked. His biggest love was his children and grandchildren. He treasured his fishing trips up north with his boys. He enjoyed cooking and “breakfast in the park”. Wintering in Florida, being by the water, spending time with his wife Judie and his kids, was what he loved later in life. He will be missed by his ROMEO breakfast club buddies. Bill is survived by his loving wife Judith Reid Aubry, whom he married March 21, 1975; children Bill (Kathy), Dan (Helen), Peggy Tressler, Janet (Jim) Lankey, John (Stephanie), Adrienne (Chico) Castellanos, Tim (Kim), Pat (Amy), and Beth (Mark) Lodzinski;sister Mary Ann (James) Jenkins; 27 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Mary Agnes Gaffney Aubry in 1973, his granddaughter Heather Aubry Abrighach, and his grandson, Chad Lodzinski. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Friday, March 27 from 1-9 p.m., with a “Sharing of Memories” Service, and Rosary Service, by grandchildren, at 8:00PM. The funeral mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 28 at St. Pius X Church, with an hour of visitation beginning at 9:30. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery with military honors. The family suggests memorial donations to Central Catholic High School and the Monastery of the Visitation, 1745 Parkside Blvd. Toledo, OH 43607.
