Richard M. Trybula

On February 7, 2015 (just 4 days shy of his 91st birthday), Richard left this life to be reunited with his beloved wife, Reba, who predeceased him in 2002 after 55 years of marriage. He was born on February 11, 1924, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Michael and Marianna (Kuranda) Trybula. Richard was a proud World War II veteran who served with the U. S. Army 6th Infantry Division in the Philippine Islands. After the war, he worked for the old Studebaker Automobile Company until l955 and then finished his career working for Libbey-Owens-Ford Company for 27 years retiring as Supervisor of the Storeroom Department in 1982. He was a devoted Dad, Papa, Grandpa, and Jah Jah. He was a long-suffering Chicago Cubs fan and a diehard Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan. He enjoyed fishing, listening to polka music (the louder, the better), and gardening. He was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 1 brother. He is survived by his loving daughters, Nancy (Dennis) Lewandowski and Sandra Ahmer, grandson, Dennis (Stephanie) Ahmer, and his pride and joy great-grandchildren, Lauren and Alex Ahmer. Visitation will be on Friday, February 13 from 2-8 p.m. at Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 14 at 11 a.m. at Coyle, followed by burial at Resurrection cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at DaVita Dialysis Southland for their compassionate care of “Mr. T” for the past 6 years and the staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio (Toledo) for their aid and comfort during Richard’s final journey.
