Paul Francis Neuser

Paul Francis Neuser March 03, 1920 - January 26, 2008 Paul Francis Neuser was born into the family of Harry and Mary Neuser, March 3, 1920 in Toledo, Ohio. Paul passed away peacefully January 26, 2008 at the Hospice Center, Perrysburg. During his long illness, Paul was cared for in his home by his family and friends. His loving care continued in the final few days of his life at the Palliative Care Center at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center and the Hospice Center in Perrysburg, Ohio. Paul and his sisters and brothers grew up in the St. Mary's, St. Vincent's hospital area of Toledo. He graduated from St. Mary's grade school and Central Catholic High School. Paul attended the University of Toledo before enlisting in the United States Army Air Force in World War II as a Top Turret Gunner on a B-24 Bomber. He saw action in over 30 combat missions in the South Pacific Theater of war. Paul was employed as a surveyor with the State of Ohio Department of Transportation for many years. After his military service, Paul studied commercial art and found enjoyment and fulfillment in painting and sketching and in gardening and the breeding and raising of Poodles. He also enjoyed his family and frequent babysitting of his grandchildren. Paul is survived by his loving wife Joan (O'Dwyer) Neuser, daughters, Ann (Al) Lederer, Therese Neuser (Rich Roman), Kathleen (Kip) Holmes, Carol (Phil) Toney and Mary (Jerry) Wilson and son, Mark (Fiance, Tracy Hutchins). The grandchildren: Gabriel (Nicole) Percival. Lia Colapietro (Sam Misiura), Kristina (Jeffery) Jones, Philip Lederer, Cullen Colapietro, Jesse Percival, Aislinn Colapietro, Nicholas Wilson, Kevan Toney, Michael Wilson and Casey Toney. Also surviving are his sisters, Gertrude Agosti and Catherine Kneisel and great grandchildren, Ewan and Eli Misiura, Caitlin Percival and Brynn Chlebowski along with step grandchildren Jennifer (Brian) Couling and Jeremy Toney and step great grandchildren, Brianne and Isaac Couling and Ceila and Phillip Toney Paul was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Helen Cozy, Rose Soncrant and Margaret Niedermeier and brothers, Donald, Edward and Charles. Paul has donated his body to the Medical University of Toledo. Friends may call at the Coyle Funeral Home 1770 S. Reynolds Road Friday from 4- 8 p.m. where a prayer service will take place at 7:30 p.m. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral with Father Charles Singler celebrating.
