Patricia R Bade

Patricia Ruth (Leahy) Bade, 91, died February 7, 2023, after a short stay at StoryPoint Memory Care. Pat was born to Frances and George Leahy on November 17, 1931 and had been a lifelong resident of Toledo. She graduated in 1949 from Central Catholic High School and took a job as a teller at Toledo Trust Company after graduation. It was here that she met Paul Bade, whom she would wed in 1951 and they shared a loving 62-year marriage. They established a home in south Toledo and Pat was a stay -at -home mom to her four children, until the youngest went to school. Pat was active at Our Lady of Perpetual Help church and served on many committees, both for the church and the school. She returned to the work world in 1972, initially in the cafeteria at the former McAuley High School. Later she worked at the former Sylvania Savings Bank and retired from First Federal Bank. In her retirement she was active in a golf and a bowling league. She was a very competitive player in both! She was always available if her grandchildren needed her, and she and Paul would make annual treks to Colorado and Minnesota to see the out of state grandchildren. She was happiest when spending time with family. We have wonderful family memories of all our good times at Marble Lake. Paul proceeded her in death in 2013. She is survived by her children Lynn (Michael) Gabenski, Gregory (Karen) Bade, Paula (Mark) Pilrose and Elizabeth (Richard) Brown; grandchildren Nicki (Tom) Turner, Brian (Krysia) Gabenski, Rachel (Mike) Trinity, Nicholas (Melissa) Bade, Jay (Shannon) Pilrose, Miranda (Jeff Rysavy) Pilrose, Katie (Sam Peterson) Pilrose and Eric (Natasha) Hipp; great-grandchildren Madison, Emily, Karissa, Kathryn, Bethany, Ethan, Allison, Samantha, Harrison, Alexander and the youngest, Clara, who she met in November. She met all 11 of her great-grandchildren! She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Jeanette Leahy and Phyllis Perdeau. Friends and family can visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Friday, February 24 from 2-8 p.m., with a scripture service at 7 p.m. The funeral will begin at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 25. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church or the donor's choice.
