With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Nabih Abdalla, a beloved father, husband, grandfather, and friend. Nabih departed this life peacefully, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, resilience, and cherished memories. His life journey began with dedicated service in the Egyptian military, after which he returned to his beloved Damascus. There, he met and married the love of his life, May Tannous, with whom he shared a 62-year marriage filled with devotion, laughter, and adventure. Together, they raised four children - Zoya, Audette, Bouthyna, and Nizar - creating a home imbued with warmth, love, and joy. Nabih went on to become a respected lawyer in Damascus, serving his community with unwavering integrity and compassion. Beyond his professional life, his greatest joy was his family. He was a proud grandfather to Rami, Dyala, Ghazal, Shadi, Rochell, Ryan, and Phillip, and was recently blessed to meet his first great-grandchild, Luka, whose arrival brought boundless joy and renewed hope to Nabih in his later years. A constant source of happiness for Nabih was "3azeezey," his cherished Volkswagen Beetle. He would take his family on countless summer trips from Damascus to their ancestral village, Mashta Al Helou. These "mashaweer" became a cherished family tradition, with the songs of Fairuz, Abd Al Wahab, Asmahan, and Oum Kalthoum filling the air, creating memories layered with music, laughter, and storytelling that resonated across generations. Nabih's legacy endures in the hearts of his family, bound by the love he nurtured and the values he instilled. He leaves behind a family forever enriched by his guidance, with his memory woven deeply into the fabric of their lives. His presence will be profoundly missed, yet his spirit lives on in the lives he touched. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 31st at St. Elias Antiochian Church, 4940 Harroun Rd., Sylvania, OH 43560 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Ceremony at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Rather than flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Elias Orthodox Church in Nabih's name, honoring his memory and legacy. ببالغ الحزن نعلن عن وفاة نبيه عبدالله، الأب الحنون، الزوج المخلص، الجد المحب، والصديق العزيز. رحل نبيه بسلام تاركاً وراءه إرثاً من الحب والصمود والذكريات العزيزة. بدأت مسيرته الحياتية بالخدمة العسكرية في مصر، ثم عاد إلى دمشق الحبيبة حيث التقى وتزوج حب حياته، مي طنوس، التي شاركها زواجاً دام 62 عاماً مليئاً بالوفاء والضحك والمغامرات. معاً أنجبا أربعة أبناء — زويا، أوديت، بثينة، ونيزار — وخلقوا بيتاً يفيض دفئاً وحباً وسعادة. واصل نبيه مسيرته المهنية ليصبح محامياً محترماً في دمشق، يخدم مجتمعه بنزاهة وتعاطف لا مثيل لهما. وبعيداً عن حياته المهنية، كانت أسرته هي أعظم أفراحه. كان جداً فخوراً بأحفاده رامي، ديالا، غزل، شادي، روشيل، رايان، وفيليب، وقد نال بركة لقاء حفيده الأول، لوكا، الذي جلب له فرحاً وأملاً متجدداً في سنواته الأخيرة. كانت " عزيزه"، سيارته الفولكس فاجن الخنفساء، مصدراً دائماً للسعادة في حياته. كان يأخذ أسرته في رحلات صيفية لا تُنسى من دمشق إلى قريتهم الأم، مشتى الحلو. أصبحت هذه "المشاوير" تقليداً عائلياً عزيزاً، تتخللها أغاني فيروز، عبد الوهاب، أسمهان، وأم كلثوم، لتخلق ذكريات مليئة بالموسيقى والضحك وسرد القصص التي تناقلتها الأجيال. يبقى إرث نبيه خالداً في قلوب عائلته، الذين توحدهم المحبة التي غرسها والقيم التي زرعها. ترك خلفه أسرةً أثراها توجيهه، وذكراه جزء لا يتجزأ من نسيج حياتهم. سيفتقدونه بعمق، ولكن روحه ستبقى حية في نفوس كل من لمس حياتهم. نسأل الله أن يسكن روحه في سلام أبدي، وأن تكون ذكراه بركة لكل من عرفه وأحبه.
