Marta Leticia Young “Lety” 1952 ~ 2018 Loving Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Friend Marta Young unexpectedly passed away on October 22, 2018 at the age of 66. She was born in Carrizo Springs, Texas on March 21, 1952. She was the youngest of 7 children born to Zeferino and Socorro Puente. Marta married her first husband, Reno Fonseca, who unexpectedly passed away before the birth of their only daughter, Adriana Fonseca Young. Marta later married her second husband, Marc Young; and they were sealed in the Washington DC Temple on February 18, 1989. She and Marc enjoyed being a Temple attending couple. They also loved to spend time in their gardens together. They made their home in Marshall, MI until recently moving to Utah. Lety was an accomplished gardener, amazing cook, genealogist, loved to read, and enjoyed spending her time serving in the Jordan River Temple. She served in every auxiliary of the Church and loved studying the gospel. She was also a mother and grandmother to everyone she met. She loved surrounding herself with family every chance she could. She was loved by her co-workers at Intermountain Healthcare and Oaklawn Hospital. She was full of laugher, full of energy, full of life, and loved by everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Angelina and Maria del Carmen; and her brother, Humberto. She is survived by her husband Marc; daughter, Adriana; step-daughter, Amber (Jarrod) Boenne; step-sons, Skott and Kevin Young; and sisters: Delia (Lupe) Barboza, Aracelia (Florencio) Flores, and Rosa (Doug) Bourque. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at the Union Fort 6th Ward Chapel, 7155 South 540 East, Midvale,Utah. Friends may visit family from 9:00-11:15 a.m. at the church prior to the services. A Memorial Open House will be held Monday, October 29, 2018, from 6-9 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Battlecreek Ward, Capital Avenue, Battlecreek, Michigan. An additional viewing will be held Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Coyle Funeral Home, Toledo Ohio, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. with a graveside service following at 12:30 p.m. at the Perrysburg Restlawn Memorial Park.
