Donald G. Peatee

Donald G. Peatee (Sunny), age 74, was received into the loving arms of our Lord on Monday September 12th 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio (Perrysburg). He was born February 11th 1937 to Donald F. and Marcella (Boes) Peatee. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 55 and attended Notre Dame University. Don was employed in the family business, Mellocraft, for 3 decades and worked in sales at Mill and Factory Company for many years. In Don’s retirement he enjoyed working at the Poolside Shop. He loved to travel, Putz’n around the house and working in the yard. He enjoyed building a miniature 3 story doll house for His wife Diane and furnished the doll house while traveling. He further enjoyed reading and was a notorious note taker. Don was actively involved with the Cathedral Players, Village Players, Toledo Jay-Cees, Old West End Association and Head Usher at Rosary Cathedral. Don was a long time friend of BillW and will most be remembered for his love of people. He is survived by his loving wife Diane of 21 years, 5 siblings, former spouse Janet (Flynn) Peatee and his children Michael (Louise) Peatee, Theresa (Mark) Kusner, Doug (Leigh) Peatee, Carol Peatee, Father Gregory Peatee, Donald J. (Lisa) Peatee, Christopher (Kathy) Peatee, Timothy (Cheryl) Peatee, Joseph (Vicki) Peatee, Mary (Kevin) Devine; stepchildren Tricia (Matthew) Nagel, Kurt (Laura) Wolfe, Mark Wolfe; grandchildren: Liz, John, Dani, Julie, Sara, Megan, Matthew, Pat, Caitie, Maggie, Jessica, Nick, Ariel, Sami, Andrew, Josh, Loren, Zach, Marisa, Alexa, Brad, Shea; great grandchildren: Caleb, Addie. The family will receive guests Tuesday September 13th from 4-8pm and Wednesday September 14th from 2-8pm with Prayer Service at 7pm on Wednesday at Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. Funeral Services will begin at 9:00 on Thursday September 15th at Coyle Funeral Home followed by Mass of Resurrection at 10am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on White St. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
