Diane Garcia

Diane Garcia, 71, of Grand Rapids, OH, passed away on January 8th, 2023, surrounded by family after complications during her short battle with breast cancer. Diane was born on August 17th, 1951 to Donald & Irene Guhl in Toledo, OH. After she graduated from Whitney Vocational High School, she went on to continue her educational career at Owens Community College. She had a lifelong career in the banking industry as well as in the automotive loan field. Diane was preceded in death by both parents, brother David Guhl, late husband Salvador Garcia Jr. II, and step-son Salvador Garcia Jr. III. Diane is survived and will be missed deeply by her siblings Mike Guhl (Cheryl), Barb Lederman (Rick), son Jim Limongi (Michelle), step-sons Ryan Garcia (Nicole), Steven Garcia, Jason Garcia (Crystal); grandchildren Kasey (Nick), James, Kylee, Jake, Angelo, Steven Jr., Mark, Gabe, Lauren, Lyla, Matthew, Keely, and Brady (Carly); 7 great grandchildren, and many more nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her newly found Canadian family members. In her years of retirement, she enjoyed spending time in her home (which she called "The Salon on Fourth") where her canine bodyguards Kong, Destiny, and Kody served her. Diane also developed a love of puzzles, a passion from her mother Irene. She looked forward to attending mass every day, tending to her ever expanding gardens, and crafting with many friends. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a Scripture service at 6:30. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 17 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Church Providence, Grand Rapids, Ohio. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Grand Rapids, Ohio. A luncheon will follow the services at St. Patrick Church. The family has requested that any memorials take the form of contributions to either the Golden Retriever Rescue Resource or Wood County Humane Society.
