Carol "Jeanne" Jones

Today is a little less bright, as God called his daughter back to Heaven. Carol "Jeanne" Jones (78) passed away peacefully at home of more than 50 years in Toledo, OHIO with her family on Thursday, March 23, 2023. Jeanne, as she was known by her family and friends, was born on December 19, 1944, to Corrine and Clement Fischbach. She attended St. Joseph grade school in Erie, Michigan and graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1962. Shortly after, she met the love of her life and married David E. Jones Sr.. They were married on October 16, 1965 and remained married until his untimely death in 1996. Jeanne is the mother of 6 children, grandmother to 14 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She began her career in the banking industry in 1981 and retired from Key bank in 2014. Jeanne had a passion for gardening and travel. She became a master gardener and created the most amazing gardens. In her travels, she experienced the beauty of Ireland, Italy, and Hawaii to name a few. Jeanne had many other interests; Jeanne loved cooking for her family, enjoyed the beauty of nature and bird watching. She enjoyed her Yoga classes at the YMCA. Jeanne loved her music, and you could be assured she always had it playing. Jeanne enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, she was thought of as a competitive Euchre player. Nothing was more important to Jeanne than her unwavering faith in God and love for entire family. Her spirit and caring nature for everyone will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is proceeded in death by both her parents Corrine and Clement Fischbach, sister Linda Bryant, brother John Fischbach. Husband David E.Jones Sr.. She is survived by her children: Theresa ( Richard) Hendrickson, David ( Mary) Jones, Tina ( Jim ) Mehling, Kim ( Greg) Lilienthal, Erin ( Nate) Briney, Andrew ( Leeza) Jones. Brothers Jim and Mike Fischbach. She is further survived by 14 grandchildren, 2 greatgrandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S Reynolds Rd on Tuesday March 28, 2023 from 2-8 pm where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 29th at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Ln., Toledo Ohio 43623, at 10:30 am where the family will greet guest from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. In lieu of flower, donations may be made to the ALS Association Northern Ohio
